!!!!OMNISCIENT TUESDAY...KEEPING YOU IN THE KNOW!!!!

Good Day! How are you doing? I hope that you are absolutely fabulous on this oh so good Tuesday. Now by now you should know that Tuesdays here on MC is just a little different because it’s all about keeping you in the know…and that means it’s Omniscient Tuesday on this 16th of September 2008…Like I said keeping you in the know is what it is all about…as a result I hope and trust that so far you’re morning has been completely fabulous or just plain fantastic… So yesterday’s word of the day made me think actually when someone says something how do you react… now if you don’t remember yesterday’s word of the day it was JIBE – insulting or mockery remark so here’s what to do the next time it happens to you: 1. ignore it… 2. if you can't ignore it, laugh at it…3. If you can't laugh at it, top it…4. if you can't top it, then it's probably deserved…5. then, you go back to number 1…

Moving onto today’s show we had all the usuals such as you’re Word of the Day, your SA Q&A, you’re Tip of the Day, Job Shop and Information Guide.

We also had interview with:

Today’s we featured a documentary with philosopher – Thomas Pogge and the documentary will we around his thoughts on ways to fight poverty.

We also spoke to Terri- Ann Laws and she’s from Amazing Mind Power Training and she spoke to us about the power of ones mind, touching on the training programme that they run.

And we ended today’s series of Omniscient Tuesday – Keeping you in the know…with a interview by Dr Ian McCullum and he spoke to us typology - A system or method by which people or things can be classified as a particular type…and the talk that he’ll have a talk around labelling and liberating that talk is taking place tonight at the Iziko Museum.

Word of the Day:

PULE - To whimper; to whine

Trivial Question:

Q: Name the festival that takes place in Hermanus during the month of September?
A: The Hermanus Whale Festival

Did You Knows:

Your mouth produces 1 liter of saliva a day… Here another fascinating fact for your FYI… On average, people can hold their breath for about one minute

Tip of the Day:

I’ve got your tips on ways to walk silently… Walking silently is an art that most people have not successfully developed. With practice, one can improve and master the art of stealth…

1. Get soft footwear. The harder your footwear, the louder the noise. The best type of footwear is socks or leather moccasins (tabi boots also work well). If you sweat too much in your socks, so that it makes noise, wear a double pair of socks.

2. Wear sparse, tight clothing. When walking, one's legs and clothes rub together creating noise. Minimizing your gear will prevent this.

3. Breathe quietly. Unless congested, take slow and measured breaths from the nose. If congested, open your mouth wide and take deep controlled breaths. Never hold your breath while walking or running, always breathe.

4. Be mindful of objects you are stepping on. Outside, try to walk on bare dirt or live grass. Dead foliage creates a perceptible "crunch" even when lightly stepped on. If you encounter an area where forced to walk through foliage, then pick the clearest path and proceed slowly, possibly bending over and removing obstructions from the location of the next step.

5. Match the cadence of the person you are following (i.e. when the person steps with his or her left foot, you use your left foot). This will help mask any noise your feet may make.

6. Place the heel of your foot down first and roll your foot slowly and gently towards your toes onto the ground. The hips can be rotated slightly to make this technique easier. Walk on the outer edge of your shoes if possible. For more balance and support, bend low at the knees.

7. Be sure your footwear fits properly. If your foot slides at all in your footwear, it can produce a squeaking noise, especially if your feet are sweaty.
