Today is the 16th of May 2008 and that of course means that it is the Friday edition of the Morning Cruise…so Friday is here, the day that’s marks the end of the week, well the working week that is as it is the last day. I must say your weekend weather is looking so good with a high of 28 degrees, no rain. So ja if it’s you B-DAY or Anniversary on this cold, frosty and chilly autumns day I hope that you have a wonderful day and that you are spoilt by your family or loved ones coz you deserve it

Word of the Day:

GOBSMACKED – completely astonished/amazed

Trivial Question:

Q: What is the region called that is covered in wild flowers during the spring months in South Africa?
A: Namaqualand

Tips of the Day:

I spoke about coping with costly groceries especially with the increase in high petrol, food clothing prices, because everything really went up.

1. Be a discount queen - If you're willing to put in the time and effort, you can make some major savings. It requires a bit of planning and collecting, but you are the one that will benefit at the end of the day.

2. Use meat for flavour, not bulk - cut costs significantly than eating large cuts of meat.

3. Invest in nutrition - Instead of buying sugar-coated cereals, white bread and chips, buy items like whole-grain bread and oatmeal.
4. Stock up on sales You know you're always going to use pasta, lightbulbs and toothpaste, so buy in bulk when it’s on sale.

5. Grow your own - Start your very own little garden by growing some crops. Basil and other herbs, hot peppers, eggplant and lettuce are some items that are very easy to grow and are never cheap at the grocer or farm stand, even when they are in season. Remember gardening is therapeutic too

Quote of the Day:

Henry Van Dyke - Be glad of life because it gives you the chance to love and to work and to play and to look up at the stars

It’s time for me to love and leave you. You must have oh so super Friday and fantastic weekend. Let’s chat again on tomorrow…Much Love…Peace.
