By Denisia Adams
Good Day to you. Hope you feeling alright and ready for the 28th March 2009. So what’s happening on the 28th? Check it out:

WORD(s) OF THE DAY
melancholy:
a deep and long-lasting sadness; depressing.

S.A TRIVIA QUESTION
What area in the Cape Overberg region is well known for it’s hotsprings?

A – Villiersdorp B – Calendon C – Darling

Answer: B – Calendon

Caledon is famous for its hot springs, wild flowers and rich bird life set in the rolling hills of the Overberg district. Caledon is rich in cultural history with sites of documented habitation dating back 40 000 years. The first mission stations at the Cape were established in the region and the mineral hot springs at Caledon developed into one of the first resort sites in the Cape.

DID YOU KNOW
The first city in the world to have a population of more than one million was Rome, also did you know the electric chair was invented by a dentist.

TIP OF THE DAY
How to Age Gracefully

Step1 Embrace maturity Embrace your maturity.
Give up the idea that you have to be like the youth of the day. You may look great when you dress in the short skirt or the tight may make your bottom look good or you think hip hop makes you look cool but...when you see yourself through the eyes of others, you may seem to be an older person trying to hold on to his or her youth.

Step2 Maturity doesn't have to look old The same is true of your hair.
Find a style that looks flattering to you and that fits your lifestyle. Do you still have the you wore in high school or college? It may be time to turn it in for something that fits the more mature you. To dye your hair is a matter of choice, but remember that it doesn't look good if it looks like you dyed it!

Step3 Clothes can make or break the person
When you are dressing or grooming yourself, remember that you will age more gracefully if you do it well. Sloppy clothes may be good for times you need comfort, but dress yourself up often. Even if you are not going out in public, your spouse will appreciate it. The same is true of your hair, nails and body hygiene. Good practices are important every day. Nothing makes a person seem older than bad personal care.

Step4 Maturity shows patience and love
Consider all the things old people used to do that drove you up a wall. As that older person, don't allow yourself to repeat those actions. Hang on to your patience and love of life. They look good on you no matter how old you are. In fact, the more loving and patient you are, the younger you may seem to others.
