TIP OF THE DAY
How to Buy Quality Clothing For Less
Step1
Examine the seams of the fabric inside the clothing. Quality clothes will have a little excess of material at the sides. Clothes with very little excess of material will be more likely to have ripped out seams and show stretching.

Step2
Look to see if the patterns match when seems meet. High quality clothing will likely have seems that match almost perfectly.

Step3
Seams of high quality skirts, pants and jackets should have hems that are invisible.

Step4
Check material for inconstant color. Unless the material is faded for fashion, high quality clothing should have no off color spots.

Step5
High quality clothes should have straight stitching and no fused seams. Many low quality suit jackets and coats have seams that are fused to gather and not sewn at all. These types of clothing tend to easily fall apart after a little wear.

Step6
Clothing such a sport coats and high end jackets should have a felt backing underneath the collar and have lining throughout the entire inside.

Step7
Examine the labels of clothing. Lapels should rounded slightly at the top and be secured on the material. Labels not well designed may be a sign of other frugal manufacturing.

Step8
Pants receive a lot of wear and tear, so it is important to know what you are paying for. Jeans that will last the longest will have double stitching around the seams, especially around stress points.
