Check out Denisia and Shaz at the Children's Summit hosted by the Western Cape Dept. of Social Development

By Denisia Adams
Today was a very special addition of Community Buzz. Today we were out in the community doing a live broadcast at the Children’s Summit hosted by the Western Cape Department of Social Development.

The goal of the summit is to develop and agree on a programme of action based on an interlocking system in which families, communities, formal and informal networks work together to restore families.

We heard from the MEC for Social Development Dr I H Meyer as well as Mr D Chabalala, Mrs M Mokaeo (HRSC) and of course the voices of the youth involved. I managed to have a one-on-one with the MEC as well as a very passionate Jamie-Lee Adams one of the many children participating in the summit. Jamie-Lee who possesses a clear passion for the development of the youth joined us to speak about his involvement and how he has been building his community.

For those who have seen the Earth from space, and for the hundreds and perhaps thousands more who will, the experience most certainly changes your perspective. The things that we share in our world are far more valuable than those which divide us.
That’s it for the Morning Cruise, where we cruise through your weekday here on BushRadio 89.5fm live on your stereo between 9am – 12pm with me Denisia Adams. Take Care ... make the best of your day and Keep the Faith. Stay Real!!!!!!!!!!
