@@@OMNISCIENT TUESDAY@@@

Good Day! How are you doing? I hope that you are absolutely fabulous on this oh so good Tuesday. By know you should know that Tuesdays here on MC is just a little different because it’s all about keeping you in the know…and that means it’s Omniscient Tuesday on this 14th of October 2008…well as a result I hope and trust that so far you’re morning has been completely fabulous or just plain fantastic… I’m sure you’ve already borrowed one or two of your things to friends of yours I know I have, but what really gets to me is people not giving what they lent back… So if you have that problem I have three ways to ask them back – the items that you lent out tho…Here’s what to do…

1. Go to your friend's house, act as if it is a purely social call.
2. The borrowed DVD when calmly talking about it, act as if you had forgotten it.
3. Be less subtle if this tactic doesn't work. Just ask.

Word of the Day:

SEREIN - Fine rain falling from an apparently cloudless sky, typically observed after sunset

Trivial Question:

Q: Name the traditional South African spicy sausage?
A: Boerewors

Did You Knows:

Months that begin on a Sunday will always have a Friday the 13th…Here another fascinating fact for your FYI… Your heart beats over 100,000 times a day

We had interviews with:

Patrick Mackenzie and he spoke to about public transport safety on the road for commuters and for drivers.

We also spoke to Charles Maizel the founder of men on the side of the road and he’ll be chatting about a mass HIV drive run by the organization.

We featured a documentary on rural information centers in Ghana.

Tip of the Day:

I’ve got your tips on ways to have fun with out friends… There is always something fun to do, even when you do not have any friends. Walk the mall, and check out the movie thats playing at the mall cinema and see if its a movie worth seeing. Talk to the shoppers while you are in the store, or buy yourself something new to wear, or a new computer game. While having friends to be with might be preferable, having none should not depress you.

1. Listen to the radio. You can always find something interesting, whether it's a talk show, the news, or the hit music station in your area.

2. Write. Writing is very rewarding. You can write about anything, from social problems to your personal experiences. It's also a good way to let off any steam about having no friends.

3. Volunteer your time. Volunteering is a very rewarding experience. It could be helping an elderly neighbor to going to a homeless shelter. Research local soup kitchens, nursing homes, churches, etc in your area. You never know. You can make some new friends while helping people in your own community.

4. Do chores around your house. Vacuum, fold laundry, wash your parent's car, or clean a toilet if you are that bored.

5. Visit a library. Read good books, and join in on any reading groups they have.

6. Make a personalized journal and write in it every day.

7. Go to the movies. Enjoying a movie alone is great. No one talks in the theater anyway, so you will feel very comfortable. Buy popcorn and a drink, and enjoy the show.

8. Start walking for exercise. Walk a dog, take a yoga class, join a swimming team. It's fun and you'll be fit! Or try just doing crunches and push ups. Dancing is also very rewarding!

9. Watch some television at home. (Don't watch too much as this is unhealthy. It's all about moderation).

10. Call a relative and talk about whatever. Talking to family and hanging out with them is also loads of fun.
