Moving onto today’s show we had all the usuals such as you’re Word of the Day, your SA Q&A, you’re Tip of the Day, Job Shop and Information Guide.

We featured interviews with:

We spoke to Helen Gosnell from the Parent Centre and she spoke to us about mothers being good role models for their daughters.

Keeping the same trend after that interview we’ll be chatting to Des van Niekerk from Case – Community Action for a Safer Environment and he spoke to us about fathers being good role model for their sons.

To wrap up our best of the best interviews she spoke to Elana Meyer who has retired from competitive racing, but now heads up the Jag Foundation so, we’ll be chatting about the foundation the aim of the foundation and how it helps thousands of young athletes in many communities.

Word of the Day:

MAROON - besides it being a colour is can also mean being abandoned e.g. being abandoned on an island

Trivial Question:

Q: Name the official mascot for 2010?
A: Zakumi

Did You Knows:

Laughing lowers levels of stress hormones and strengthens the immune system…I didn’t know that…And listen closely to this one… Every time you sneeze some of your brain cells die…

Tip of the Day:

I’ve got your tips on ways to ways to bounce back after a disappointment…Bouncing back from disappointment is one of the most important skills you can have in life. You can apply this technique to almost anything you want to.

1. Realize that you can't have everything in life. Good things and bad things are going to happen, but you can always come back and make good things happen.

2. Fix it. If you have done something wrong, it's not going to fix itself. If you need help fixing something, ask someone.

3. Realize that you are not perfect. You are not perfect, and no one else is (or ever will be for that matter). A low self esteem will hinder, not help, you.

4. Take each setback as a challenge. Instead of thinking that you are so unlucky, take it as a chance to succeed above everyone's expectations.

5. Talk to someone. Sympathy can do wonders for a tired soul.

6. Don't wallow. Sitting around and moping will get you nowhere. You only have one life, so make the most out of it.

7. Help someone else out. Doing this will make you forget about your own problems, which you shouldn't normally do, but it will certainly make you feel better.

8. Be realistic. There's nothing wrong with shooting high, but you can shoot too high. If you do this, only tears and frustration will come out of it.

9. Keep your head up! This is probably the most important rule of all of them. Everyone makes mistakes. You're not alone. So buck up and get moving!
