TIP OF THE DAY
How to Reduce Bad Stress and Use it in a Positive Manner
You can turn bad stress into something positive, to energize your life and advance your goals. Just follow these steps.
Step 1
Exercise can help you turn bad stress inside out. Going to the gym, running outside, swimming, and tennis are just a few activities you can use to reduce stress in your life.
Step 2
Reconnect with nature by going for a walk by the ocean, in the forest, through a park or some other restful locale. You will feel refreshed and ready to handle things with a clear mind.
Step 3
Talk to someone about the stresses you feel. By talking you can release your worries or anger, and put them to the side. This will allow you to free up space in your thoughts for positive ones. Ask a friend or a family member if they can listen to you when you are stressed. It can work wonders!
Step 4
Go to a yoga class or get a massage. Both of these practices involve deep breathing and can reduce stress and release tension. A massage will loosen up your tight, tense muscles, leaving you feeling refreshed.
Step 5
Take a break. Get outdoors or go on a vacation. You might be feeling burnt out and a holiday can get rid of any lingering stress.

WE ALSO FEATURED:
Our Golden cloud competition rolled over from Friday to this week. With x3 hampers up for grabs, listeners were acting fast. Today’s lucky winner was Bernina Hesselman, she walks away with a fabulous Golden Cloud hamper worth R500.00. With two more hampers to give away the competitions will continue tomorrow and Friday.

We played an interview I done with Dr John Steer, ENT surgeon. He joined us to warn us of the dangers of our excessive use of mp3 players etc, well more specifically, our daily use of earphones. If you were sitting next to someone on the bus or train listening to music through earphones and you can hear their music, you best want to tap them on the shoulder and remind them of the fear of hearing loss. You might find yourself at the age of 30yrs with the hearing ability of an 80yr old.

Lastly we were joined by Dr Ina Diener. She joined us to discuss the different causes of headaches and how physiotherapy can relief headaches.
