Word of the Day:

COPIOUS - Affording a rich supply; in large quantities or lavishly

Trivial Question:

A: Jake White

Tip of the Day:

I spoke about winter delights so I’ll be telling you what are some wonderful ways to stay healthy, warm and entertained this winter, without breaking the bank…In the meantime I hope you thought about it if so…Then this is the right place because I have tips on winter delights…

1. Have a soup party
- Not only will soup help to keep you warm on a cold winter's evening, but it is also cheap and easy to make. Invite your friends around for a soup supper and ask them to contribute interesting breads to dunk in the hot and tasty soup.

2. Warm your heart with poetry - Snuggle up under the covers with a collection of poetry and a glass of red wine, or your favourite hot drink, to warm your heart and feed your soul.

3. Get the essentials - Put a few drops of tea-tree or peppermint oil in a bowl of hot water, then inhale the steam, to clear a clogged nose. Scent your sheets and pillow cases with lavender for a dreamy night. There are a whole range of essential oils to delight and soothe the senses and just one small bottle will see you through winter as you only need a few drops at a time.

4. Bright colours - will bring some life to a winter-weakened soul. Yellow awakens your inner spirit; red and orange motivate and make you more active. Why not pick up an accessory or two in one of these colours?

5. Healthy and happy - At this time of year, a sufficient supply of vitamins is imperative. Winter vegetables such as savoy cabbage, rutabagas, Brussels sprouts or kale provide a particularly good supply of vitamins and lots of calcium, potassium, sodium and iron. Tip: In order to keep those extra winter pounds in check, you can also improve your mood by eating foods that contain carbohydrates, such as noodles, potatoes or bananas. Those are healthier and the good effects last longer.

6. Sweat it out - Most of us have gym memberships that we never make use of. Winter is the perfect time to warm up at the gym. If you don't have money to go out but you are bored at home why not go for a quick work-out. You don't have to aim to become super fit, it's also a nice way to catch-up with friends and even pick up some good gossip in the changing rooms. Or simply re-create the heat of summer by having a sauna or sitting in the steam room.

7. Light up your life - Bright electric light can make a space seem colder. Create a cosy atmosphere with candlelight. Use your candles to enhance your bathtime experience in winter. If you have a fireplace, use it. It will warm the house and you can enjoy the red glow of the coals.

Quote of the Day:

Blaise Pascal - Vanity is so secure in the heart of man that everyone wants to be admired: even I who write this, and you who read this.

It’s time for me to love and leave you. You must have oh so super Thursday. Let’s chat again tomorrow…Much Love…Peace.
