Tip of the Day:

Now I spoke about those very embarrassing moments and I said that this time with a difference… at this difference involves your parents to…Some parents seem to enjoy embarrassing their children. Other parents don't even realise that they are being embarrassing; it just happens. Either way, when a child is embarrassed it can harm their self-esteem. So here are some tips …

· Treat your child with respect at all times.

· Don't be sarcastic towards them when they are trying to hold a conversation with you or introducing you to their friends.

· Don't make up embarrassing nick names for your child

· Avoid insulting them, especially in front of other people

· Don't bring up things about when they were a baby in front of their friends

· Don't tell cute stories about your kids to their friends or their friend's parents

· Don't show their friends embarrassing baby pictures

· Don't try to act like one of the gang, be the parent

· Don't say or do embarrassing things with your partner in front of your children

· Don't be overprotective in front of their friends

As the parents it is your responsibility to help encourage your child and build their confidence, not destroy it by embarrassing them all the time. Taking measures to avoid embarrassing your child can help to build up their self-esteem and make them a more positive and happier person. They will be more likely to introduce you to their friends if they are not worried about you embarrassing them. This means that you have the pleasure of being more involved in their life.

Quote of the Day:

Winston Churchill - If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver

It’s time for me to love and leave you. You must have oh so super Monday. Let’s chat again tomorrow…Much Love…Peace.
