Good Day! How are you doing? I hope that you had an absolutely fabulous on this oh so super Thursday. Today is the 5th of June 2008 and that of course means that it is the Thursday edition of the Morning Cruise…I actually have a mini confession to make for me when it’s Thursday evening that in it self is the start of the weekend I don’t know why, but Friday just somehow feels like such a short day… At least that’s my theory, if you feel the same then…

Moving onto today’s show we had all the usuals such as you’re Word of the Day, your SA Q&A, Information Guide, JobShop, and you’re Tip of the Day.

We also featured interviews on:

· Riha Driers and she’s going to be chatting about the collectors and hobbies expo. If you would like to know more about the festival or even attend then call 084 247 2715.

· We also spoke to Gary King, James and Karen Smart from the Gracie Jui Jitsu Academy that teaches children at schools in the Western Cape self defense and martial arts. If you want to make use of this form of self defense call 0861 – GRACIE.

· Lastly we featured a package done by Tina George on the Drug and Alcohol Abuse Helpline. To make use of the helpline call 0800 4357 48.

Word of the Day:

PARSE - To make sense of; to comprehend

Trivial Question:

Q: In what year did Nambia become independent?
A: 1990

Tip of the Day:

Now earlier I spoke about the fact that there’s is a certain part of the day that you are just so so tired and you just don’t feel like anything…you know what I’m talking about…It happens to me and I’m so sure it happens to you… In the meantime I hope you thought about it because this is the right place because I have tips on how to …

1. Have breakfast - Even if you don't feel hungry. Studies show that people who eat breakfast feel better both mentally and physically than those who skip their morning meal.

2. Eat every three to four hours - Having three smallish meals and two snacks throughout the day can keep your blood sugar and energy levels stable all day long Supersized meals demand more of your energy to digest, which can leave you feeling tired.

3. Fill up on more fiber - Fiber has a time-releasing effect on carbs, so they enter your bloodstream at a slow and steady pace, giving your energy staying power.

4. Fuel your brain with omega-3s - Found in fatty fish (such as tuna and salmon), walnuts, and canola oil, these essential fatty acids play a role in keeping brain cells healthy and helping you feel mentally alert.

5. Stay hydrated - Water makes up the majority of your blood and other body fluids, and even mild dehydration can cause blood to thicken, forcing the heart to pump harder to carry blood to your cells and organs and resulting in fatigue.

6. Watch caffeine intake after noon - Consuming a moderate amount of caffeine two to three cups of coffee — can make you more energetic and alert in the hours following, when caffeine is consumed in large quantities — or anytime in the afternoon or evening — the quality of your sleep that night can take a nosedive, leaving you with heavy eyelids the next day.

Quote of the Day:

Abraham Lincoln - There's no honorable way to kill, no gentle way to destroy. There is nothing good in war. Except its ending

It’s time for me to love and leave you. You must have oh so super Thursday. Let’s chat again tomorrow…Much Love…Peace.
