The MorningCruiseShow had a wonderful guest today, Heidi from an organisation by the name of People4Impact.
They are community activists standing together and making a difference in our neighbourhood through feeding and destitute, also empowering the underprivileged people and by providing opportunities and skills training and leadership in order to improve their chances to develop and sustain self-reliance.
In the interview Heidi had sadly mentioned that they had to close down some of their programms because of covid but still focused on the Soup Kitchen and with that they were able to help alot around the community where they got helped from churches and some sponsors.
They started in 2017 and Heidi tells a story that they didn't know what to name the organisation because all the "Good Names" have been taken so the came up with People4Impact (in which it is very catchy I must say).
They are going through a rough patch with funding because most of the time when they do apply for funding, it is a long dragging process that needs alot of paper work and things are just made difficult for them and because of that they find themselves getting money from the elderly and with that they are using their pension funds to help the organisation.
The way Heidi speaks about the children that they are helping out, melts your heart it makes you want to shed a tear because these are children that have nothing and they appreciate anything and everything they are given.
It is really heart warming listening to how she talks about the impact they are doing to other people's lives. Please if you have the means to help them by donating, sponsoring or volunteering Please jump in and do so. Your little bit of kindness could change alot of lives.
