BACKCHAT SHOW
Today on the backchat show we were joined by the
amazing singer/songwriter and producer Ongeziwe who goes by the name ‘Just
Ongie’. Like many artists ongie has had her fair share in the music
industry and is trying to promote her music even more.

From the young age of two years, Ongeziwe started
singing but it really came into light when she started pursuing music as a
career. With a rich background growing up in music, she was greatly inspired by
her mother that sang in church and was a choir teacher. Since then, ongie has
been grabbing every opportunity available and was fortunate enough to receive one
from the Bridges Academy for music, where she wrote, sang, and produced her
three singles named; WWI, Unexpected, and Leap year.
During the interview ongie said that her song world
war one (WWI), was about her fighting internal battles within herself and it
was really about remaining connected to yourself and family and that most of
her music was her “3 being’s” that she described as “ being, doing, and becoming”.
