WORD(s) OF THE DAY
candor \KAN-der\ : honesty in giving one's view or opinion; frankness and sincerity
(eg. Real leadership is about candor and judgment.)

S.A TRIVIA QUESTION
What well South African musician is know for her songs titled, All my Love, Feel so Good and Dance of Life?
A – Chomee B – Brenda Fassie C - Lira

Here’s some info:
Lira set a soul scorching benchmark with her 2006 album FEEL GOOD - and with her late 2008 release, SOUL IN MIND she's once again created a record that is defined by its honesty, soulfulness, femininity and utter joyfulness. What's more, the 29-year-old has also delivered an album that effortlessly shows Lira's growth over the past two years - most especially as a songwriter and intuitive performer, turning the young girl who showed the first glimpses of her gift more than five years ago into a woman with a world class talent.

DID YOU KNOW :
The CD was developed by Philips and Sony in 1980. About one-third of recorded CDs are pirated. ALSO DID YOU KNOW The first pop video was Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, released in 1975.

TIP OF THE DAY
Tips for using Music for Transformation& Healing.

Select Appropriate Music.
Most of us choose music that we “like” but will this give us the best results? In fact, often the music we are least attracted to will have the greatest benefit (when played in the right sequence)

Speakers Are Ideal.
It is ideal to listen to the music through speakers rather than headphones so that the cells of the body themselves may “listen” to the sound.

Prepare Yourself to Listen.
Take off your shoes. Stand relaxed, sit or lie down and breathe.

Listen All the Way Through.
It is preferable to listen to the musical composition all the way through, without interruption.

Foreground, Not Background.
We all have the tendency to use music for the background of other activities. Try developing the technique of just listening to the music, not doing anything else. This way, you will get the best benefit.

Your Response is What is Important.
It is through your response that the emotional/cellular memory may be released. Do not think that you have to just stay still and concentrate on the music! In fact, if the music inspires you to get up and do something or your mind begins to wander, allow!

Listen Actively, Not Passively.
Allow the music to reach your inner feeling, and respond freely to it. Everyone has a different manner of expression. You may experience visual images, thoughts, movement, an intensification of emotion, physical vibrations, sleep, or nothing at all.

Enjoy the Silence!
When the music stops, it is suggested that you bask in the silence for many moments. This will help put together the feelings.

WE ALSO FEATURED:
An interview with Local jazz sensation Allou April. He joined us online to chat about his musical journey, what inspires him etc. He’ll also currently be coming out with his new album release, so do be on the lookout for that.

We then were joined by Elske Henderson organiser of Cape Town’s annual art exhibition called The Summer Fine Art Fair. It takes place in Camps Bay and it exhibits all local artist making waves in the industry. You can find artwork ranging from oil painting, bronze sculpting and more.

QUOTE OF THE DAY
