DID YOU KNOW FACTS

In the early 20th century, cousins Elsie Wright and Frances Griffiths created a series of photographs in which they were seen interacting with what appear to be fairies. The images provoked heated debate and even gained the attention of famed Sherlock Holmes author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, who championed their authenticity. Though the women initially claimed the fairies were real, they finally admitted otherwise in 1981. Even then, Griffiths insisted that one image was genuine.

TIP OF THE DAY
How to Tips for Father's Day Gifts He Will Appreciate
Let's show love, support and appreciation for the special fathers and husbands in our lives by giving them a gift they will remember and appreciate.
Step 1
Is your father or husband involved in sports activities like golf, tennis, soccer or fishing? Sporting equipment and accessories are a useful and thoughtful gift with a very long life. They will feel your appreciation each time they use it.
Step 2
What are his interests? How does your special man like to spend his "down" time? If watching movies, reading, listening to music or computer games sound like fun to him then a gift card to a store that carries a combination of books, music, DVD's and the latest games will allow him to select the gift his heart desires.

A proudly African production, From Africa with Laugh.
War. Famine. Disease. These are the stereotypical images of Africa. But 2010 is a significant year for Africa for two reasons: the FIFA World Cup comes to Africa for the first time, and no fewer than 17 countries on the continent celebrate 50 years of independence! To celebrate both, the African Arts Institute will bring stand-up comedians from around the African continent for their irreverent and humorous takes on Africa, independence and football! Three comedians from African countries – Edgar Langeveldt (Zimbabwe), Chibwe Katebe (Zambia) and Philip Luswata (Uganda) – will be hosted by a South African MC and sketch artist (Lungi Pinda).
