Stevie Skotti

Stevie Skotti

Steven Cottle Aka Stevie Skotti started singing since grade four. Steven listened to a lot of hip hop, The East Coast West Coast rivalry, Black Noise BOC.  He use to b-boy to all those music back in the day, that is where music has always been a part of his life.

He started writing his own rap music, but he never sang before. Skotti use to rap 'wanna be' as he puts it, where everyone wanted to know who is better than who. He also has a 10 month old baby.
Steven describes himself as a commercial artist. His fondest musical memory was performing at Muizenberg High's Fashion Show and he peformed with his group back in the day, the Three Kings, their first track 'She's Like Me'.  He moved a lot, but is orginally from Fish Hoek and stays in Sunny Dale currently.

He says that everywhere he goes he sees drugs and gangs, and he doesn't dodge bullets. He uses music to get through things, people will stop him in the road and ask him to play a song on the way .
There's a 9-5 on the side which he calls his Plan B. "You can't make it on your own unless you have people backing you" says Steven, there's no zenith point for him. Being at Bush Radio, is him making it. It's another level from jamming in your room to jamming live on air.

His been getting good feedback, but getting love from the people who loves him his the most important thing to him. People has also been hitting him up musically out of no where.
