DID YOU KNOW
Until he was 18, Woody Allen read virtually nothing but comic books but did show his writing skills. He sold one-liners for ten cents each to gossip columnists. Also did you know Mel Blanc, who played the voice of Bugs Bunny, was allergic to carrots.

TIP OF THE DAY
HOW TO HAVE A LAZY WEEKEND
Step 1

Enjoy time spent together as a family. Spread blankets and pillows on the floor and watch a movie while munching on your favorite snacks. Spend the afternoon at a park having a picnic, or visit a farmer's market.

Step 2
Create a tradition. Make pancakes every Saturday morning, or visit a local diner for breakfast. Get some fresh air with an early-morning hike or take a trip to the playground. Turn up the radio, and act silly by singing and dancing.

Step 3
Try something new. Read your newspaper to find local events both fun and family-centered. Visit a museum and let the kids explore. Enjoy music in the park or a college-production of a play. Take a leisurely drive and visit unfamiliar areas of your town.

Step 4
Throw a small party. Invite your friends to your house for a backyard party or game night. Enjoy a barbecue or potluck dinner. Talk, laugh and have fun.

Step 5
Slow down. Ignore your clocks and schedules. Concentrate on having fun and spending quality time with your family. Rake a pile of leaves and jump in them. Throw rocks in a nearby stream. Play a game of checkers or read a book. Take a nap. Enjoy all the activities you don't normally get to enjoy during a busy week.

WE ALSO FEATURED:
AFROCENTRIC. A Capetonian afro – jazz band consisting of seven members from the Cape Music Institute. Some of the members joined us in studio to chat about how the band got started and what their plans look like for the future.

We then were joined by 21 year old Guitarist from Ottery, Cameron Ward. Cameron who already have worked with the likes of Jimmy Dludlu, Tucan Tucan, Loading Zone, Judith Sephuma and more started out in church as a drummer. There after he moved to other instruments such as Bass, piano and eventually found his home in the guitar at the age of 15. His currently working on his album which will probably (may or may not) be named after his inspiration, his daughter Jerusha. In fact we ended off the interview with one of his songs from the album in the making called, "Jerusha". To get in contact with Cameron contact 078 034 95 54 or email cameronward2@gmail.com.

Lastly the UCT drama department in association with Yawazzi Theatre Production’s is staging William Shakespeare’s Hamlet with a twist. Sanjin Muftich, director of the production joined us in studio to speak about the production. The play promises to be something out the ordinary but still keeping it recognizable. Not wanting too give much away all I’ll say is the production clearly illustrates the diverse personality of Hamlet. To check it out go to The Little Theatre 37 Orange Street, Gardens Cape Town and for bookings and more info on show times contact 084 393 83 81.
