We select the Best words of last week, best S.A trivia question, best did you know facts, best set of tips of last week, and best quote. We did have any interviews because we had to cross over to the kids at the 9th annual Media Kidocracy Konference(MKK). It was in fact the opening today.

MKK is where young people between the ages of 12 and 18 will explore issues that are pertinent to themselves and their peers, as well as use different forms of media to develop a media campaign that will create social awareness. Topics will include freedom of expression, child sexual exploitation, HIV and AIDS, the social identity of "mixed-cultures", how gender is made, and global warming.

As part of a growing need for youth participation in the decision-making process and policy formulation around children's broadcasting, Bush Radio initiated a conference which would tackle these issues and also feed into this debate. The Kidocracy (Kid-democracy) name was created for the event to denote a form of society characterised by social equality and acceptance of young people with representation for and by young people.

and the answer(S) is: B – Freedom Day

here’s some info:
South Africa’s national flag was launched and used for the first time on Freedom Day, 27 April 1994. The design and colours are a synopsis of the principal elements of the country’s flag history.
The central design of the flag, beginning at the flag-pole in a “V” form and flowing into a single horizontal band to the outer edge of the fly, can be interpreted as the convergence of diverse elements within South African society, taking the road ahead in unity. The flag was designed by the State Herald.

BEST set of TIPS of last week

How to Deal With People Who Treat You Like a Child

Review yourself. Maybe you are acting very childish and deserve your treatment. Although, overly adult behavior is not encouraged, try to act your age.

Respect your elders. If you treat someone who is significantly older than yourself with disrespect, even though he/she often has increased knowledge of life by living longer and experiencing more, that person will most certainly treat you differently because he/she feels the need to demonstrate your lower age.

Be sure to talk about adult topics and focus on the present and the future. If you find yourself in the situation where it might be easier to talk about things that happened earlier in your life, always try to relate to the grown-up person that you are nowadays, and in what way you don't adopt the childish behaviour you used to. But don't overdo this! If you make it obvious, people will notice.

Never get irritated or angry. Understand that sometimes the reason the person is treating you this way is because he/she feels inferior and doesn't know how to behave in a proper manner. If you react with irritation, the person will feel even more uncomfortable with the situation and be even more eager to "prove" he/she is not inferior to you.
