Morning Cruise Update

23 October 2007 Blog post.

Hello, Hello. I hope I find you to be well and that you are keeping warm. I think the weather took an unexpected turn today innit? Normaly I’d say the Morning Cruise is making it hot, but today we were more like a Beast with a rather full Belly and this is why…

10:35 In our career interview for today we spoke to a gentleman who has his own business. The furniture removal company of Brenim Mettler started about two years ago. Over the last two years since he started, he built up quite a strong clientele for himself. Brenim gave us a bit of backround about the business and what his daily tasks entail. There is quite an interesting history behind how he started off. So, if you wish to have more info, want to make use of the services or even some tips, (I’m sure he won’t mind helping), you can make use of the details below.

11:05 In our second interview we spoke about the Martie Gemeenskaps Diens (HEHEHEHEEHE) (I know my Afrikaans is bad at times for someone who speaks it at home). So lets try that in English. The (Martie Community Services). The Co-Ordinator Lydia Burger was more than happy to speak to us about what it is they do and who the programmes are aimed at. It all started when students from Stellenbosch University felt they wanted to bring about a change in surrounding Communities. They have quite a range of programmes from business to literature for young and old. So, for more info on how to take part, call them on the number below.

11:35 Now, for the last interview, we Spoke about the five P’s that help you to land that job you so want to have. Natalie Fraser cleared this up for us to be understood a bit better. Quite useful information came out of this interview as we touch on the do’s and don’ts about cv’s and interviews for jobs.
