Vision AfriKa

Vision AfriKa

Vision AfriKa was established 15 years ago in 2003 (then known as Vision K), with 152 learners currently enrolled in the Kayamandi branch (Vision K for Kayamandi) while 132 post-Grade12 youths (who have successfully completed the programme) are being monitored as they pursue Tertiary Education or other career paths.

Vision AfriKa is an organisation that supports youth and young kids  in their process of personal growth and development. By participating in this programme, they dedicated staff and youth embark on a shared exploration journey of critical thinking, visionary dreaming, goal-setting, leadership development, academic improvement and active community citizenship. They are currently based in Kayamandi and Vlottenburg, which is part of the Greater Stellenbosch area.

Their focus is now on the cretch from the age 3-5 years. They've also started a primary school, starting from grade R up to grade 3. Vision AfriKa is all about giving children opportunities and hope to be able to break the bad bond of poverty and also to give them quick education. The youth are faced with the obvious socio-economic challenges associated with living in previously disadvantaged and currently undeserved communities. These include (but are not limited to) income poverty, inadequate and unhealthy housing, a deficient schooling system, high incidences of crime and many forms of abuse and the main challenge which is money.
