Tamika the Figure Skater

 

Morning cruise was joined by the young, talented Tamika as well as her mother Tarren. Her mother reached out wanting an interview so that she could share her daughter’s amazing achievements and future plans.

 

Tarren shared with us that Tamika was asked to represent South Africa through her skating team called The Black Panthers, in a club competition that will be taking place in Slovenia this coming November.

 

Despite the amazing opportunity she has been presented with, Tamika however still needs funding in order to make the trip later this year. Her mom added that it is hard work helping her daughter achieve this but because she loves the sport, she will do anything to help Tamika reach her dream. Tarren along with her husband plan on having various fund raisers in the next few months in order to raise the amount they need.

 

Although she is very talented on the ice, Tamika’s mother added that she is excellent in more than one sport. She was also selected to represent The western Cape, this time, in October for Table Tennis. Being only nine years of age, it is challenging but she will do anything to help her daughter pursue her passions.
