The Morning Cruise Show had an interview with the CEO Tasso Evangelinos, from a campaign under the CCID (Cape Town Cape Town Central City Improvement District (CCID) The CCID was established in November 2000 by local property owners with a vision for the Cape Town CBD to rise from the “crime and grime” scenario it had fallen into, to once again become a safe, clean and caring urban environment. Today we will be talking about their campaign called SHOW YOU CARE.
A non-profit organisation, the CCID operates with its own board of directors and liaises across both the public and private sectors, working together with each to develop, promote and manage the Cape Town Central City. With the CCID there is a Campaign called Show you care, it was launched in 2008, the campaign messaging encouraged people to “Give Responsibly” to the homeless. As it evolved, it adopted the “Show You Care” tagline, which considered the needs of homeless people and how better to assist them.
With this campaign, People also maintained high standards of cleanliness and hygiene all over the place, which includes, home, public places, work stations, streets, and many more.
