"Vice Versa Love", a call for universal unity throughout reggae

This Monday we welcomed the band; The Conquerors Reggae Band, with the bandmembers Francois Pietersen and Ocasia Booysen. They talk about the succes of the band and the long history of reggae.

They started out because of their love for reggae, The Conquerors Reggae Band is all about the roots of reggae music and promoting a positive message to the world. That's also the message they are trying to bring over to there target audience, which is mostly focused on the youth because, according to the band, the youth is the future. But they make music for the soul, so it doesn't matter who you are, their music is for everybody.

Last year around June/July, the band recorded three singles, two of the singles are still in the mixing and mastering phase, but the Debut single 'Vice Versa Love' is out. The song speaks to mothers and fathers teaching their kids about universal love, colour blind love and as the Rastaman would call it "One Love". They band felt that this was the right time to release the song, with the war happening in Palestine, Ukraine and even regional conflicts like Sudan and Ethiopa. It's also inline with the aims and objective from the band, which is to contribute to nation building, social cohesion and most importantly universal love.

The band has one simple thing in mind for the future, more music and more love overall.
