KIMBERLEY TAYLOR

Today morning cruise was joined via telephone to have a chat to Kimberley Taylor to discuss more about her journey in being a businesswoman and the founder of her online delivery software platform named LOOP.

“Loop” is based in Johannesburg and was launched in 2016 in Johannesburg, South Africa and has proved to be a disruptor across the African continent with their uniquely developed technology which solves real issues in the delivery and logistics space.

Kim shared with us that in 2018, she won the ‘MTN App Enterprise of the Year Award’ and went on to win the 2022 Grindstone Top Performing Company Award. Prior to founding Loop, she completed her Chemical Engineering Degree at the University of Wits.

“Loop is designed to remove friction points and inefficiencies, and to optimise the interaction between our clients and their own clients, through collaborations and partnerships. Loop is a custom-based delivery platform, designed to give visibility to the business, the driver and the customer. The two main algorithms that have proudly been developed by Loop are the Route Optimisation and a Clustering algorithm”.

Kimberly also mentioned that there is lots of pressure with being a futuristic person and that it does come with challenges. She says that her team growing has been one of her favourite parts and seeing the growth of people and the connecting has been her favourite part as well. Kim also mentioned that because they’ve grown so much that they were able to expand their team and she’s so grateful for that.

Our presenter Khusi also asked Kimberley, where people can get in contact with her and also if she has any last words of motivation for anyone out there in which she responded that you can still learn a way of thinking and problem solving and that skillset is very wanted in the industry today as well as problem solving. If you want to contact her about anything please feel free to email them kimberly@loop.co.za
