Alutha - Afro-Soul Singer

How many times a day do you listen to your favorite song? On the Morning Cruise today we got to listen to our guest’s song three times in the studio, both live and recorded. The song, Ndive Ndikhala was released as a single by our guest, Alutha who is releasing a full album within the next year.

Alutha is originially from Harare, Khayelitsha and comes from a family of singers. Her own music, which she describes as Afro-Soul is gaining the support of her family through her musical success. She hopes in the future to become a traveling singer and hopes to inspire girls with the message that no matter where you come from, you can make it.

Alutha works with a producer who encourages her to sit in the front seat of all the decisions they make together. Part of being a musician is understanding the business behind the stage lights and recorded albums, so Alutha and her producer work together to build Alutha’s musical future.
