Bringing the Cinema to the Community

Today on the Morning Cruise Show we were speaking to Buhle Sithela the founder of a wonderful organization called Vuma Pop-Up Cinema. They are a mobile cinema based in Khayelitsha. They show films to unite, inspire and entertain communities.

They host indoor and outdoor, giving the people of the community a wonderful cinema experience. They provide Free limited audience and catering is served using donation support for logistics.

They started in 2013 where they noticed that there is no cinema's around our communities, we always have to travel miles in order to go to the cinema to watch a movie. Through his knowledge and expertise, Buhle decided to create a mobile cinema within the community.

Buhle believes that through movies, you can bring the community together. The organization is amazing, it truly is because not only do they set up the cinema for the community to come and watch, they provide food or snacks with the money donation that they get. They also give new film creator's a platform to come and showcase their work.
Buhle has really created an extraordinary organization.

They are available for hire, if you would like them to come and open a cinema around your location or you as a new film creator would like to showcase your work with them, they are available on social media platforms.
