Good Day! How are you doing? I hope that you had an absolutely fabulous on this oh so good Monday.Today is the 30th of June 2008 and that of course means that it is the Monday Edition of the Morning Cruise… I do hope that you got all and I mean all the rest that you deserve this weekend, and that you got to spend time with those people in your life that you care for so much. I also hope that you relaxed and chilled out too, so that you can start this week a fresh with a positive perspective…turning over a new leave…for me this week I decided to… just be happy and not worry…

Moving onto today’s show we had all the usuals such as you’re Word of the Day, your SA Q&A, and you’re Tip of the Day.

We also featured a documentary on:

· Sexual Violence in Congo

Word of the Day:

PLENARY - Full in all respects; complete; absolute; as plenary authority

Trivial Question:

Q: Name the minister of housing? A – Steve Bike, B – Lindiwe Sisulu or C – Clair Phillips
A: B – Lindiwe Sisulu

Tip of the Day:

I spoke about emotions and I even said that… now we owe it to our children to break down the protective barriers so that they are able to deal with their feelings and emotions, all the while keeping their self-esteem intact…So here are some tips to listening to your child's emotions…

1. Listen with your full attention - stop and engage with your child.

2. Imagine what your child is feeling - put yourself in their shoes.

3. Describe what you think they are feeling - focus on the fact and feeling - "I imagine you felt let down."

4. Describe their resistance in words - "You wish you didn't have to see her again."

5. Remain calm and patient.

You do not have to solve the problem, they can do it themselves. Remember that all feelings can be accepted, their reactions to them need to be limited. We want to train our children in the art of emotional management.

Quote of the Day:

Ann Landers - Nobody gets to live life backward. Look ahead, that is where your future lies

It’s time for me to love and leave you. You must have oh so super Monday. Let’s chat again tomorrow…Much Love…Peace.
