Year Beyond's mission to reshape the youth of our nation

On today's radio show the Morning Cruise, our own Khusi caught up with Tania Colyn to discuss her work with Year Beyond, an organization focused on providing unemployed youths (aged 18-25) meaningful work experience while simultaneously encouraging a culture of service to the community.

Too often matriculated youths in South Africa find themselves turning to drugs, criminal activity, and gangs when they come home to an empty house with nothing to occupy their time. Year Beyond provides these young adults the opportunity to provide work experience, give back to their community and stay on the right track for a bright future.

Starting in 2015, Year Beyond has seen many young people find their passions, go back to school, and find success in many fields due to the educational and service-oriented experience provided.

The Youth Service Program is highly competitive, however, anyone between the ages of 18 and 25 who lives in the Western Cape may apply. Tania urges, "It could change your life."
